This is a nanny caught on hidden camera video mistreating an 11-month old little boy. In the video, you will see her kick, slap, and throw things at this helpless child. When police saw the video, they had enough to charge Jeannine Campbell with battery on an infant. She is 53 years old. What in the world was this woman thinking? As it turned out, the married couple put the camera up after they discovered this same child had a black eye. So she was whooping him for a while. What would you do if you discovered something like this? It's absolutely horrible and I don't think she could run fast enough to get away from me, if that was my child. The sad thing is that this isn't the first case of a nanny abusing a child that was left in their care. Quite a few have been caught on "nanny cam" since the invention. A lot of people already don't trust leaving their child with a nanny or babysitter as it is. Would you still consider using a nanny to watch your baby?
Unbelievable.... some person that is much stronger and larger needs to do the same thing to her. That should be part of her punishment, that I bet you is going to be much too lenient for what she has done. Makes you wonder how many other children she has abused... sickening!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments Sherri! When I saw this on the news last night I couldn't believe it. Although at the same time, in this day and age, I wasn't surprised. People's capabilities scare me.
ReplyDeletethis also happened in my country few months ago, a nanny kick n hit a lil girl so cruelly but her boss found it out coz he set a cam after his girl complained bout pain she had n got brushes.. but the nanny already ran away! damn!
ReplyDeleteOMG! I can't believe that she did that to that poor child! I would be so pissed and yes, she could not run fast enough to get away from me either!! I took my son out of a personal child care home because his diaper wasn't being changed when he was little. That was enough for me to start staying home with my kids! Ugh!! People are just plain sick!!
ReplyDeleteThat's fucking nuts, that lady is lucky not to have her ass kicked and than some
ReplyDeleteThats some messed up shit.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of the comments! Just wait 'til she goes to prison, she is gonna be in for a whooping.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sick. I hope she goes to prison. This is such a hard issue. We don't have family in the area, so if we didn't hire sitters occasionally, we would never, ever get a break - and I think that would put a lot of stress on our marriage. Fortunately our children are old enough to tell me stuff now.
ReplyDeleteI also feel if you get to the point where you think you need to install a nanny cam, you should fire your nanny. Instincts are everything.
I feel leaving a child in day care is safer than with a nanny at home. Usually there is more than one adult supervising each other and with a lot more rules and regulations.

It's disturbing to watch the video; I saw it when it first came out. It's hard enough trusting our loved ones to someone else; it happens with the elderly also. There are a lot of people out there with sociopathic hostility - can't be too careful. I think that a daycare is probably safer.
ReplyDelete@UnplannedCooking...I understand what you mean about stress of the marriage. You do need some alone time. And you're right, since your kids can tell you now, it does make a difference.
ReplyDelete@Alejandra...I agree with you! It's better if there are more than one adult there because people are less likely to do that kinda thing with an audience.
@Saylor...This type of person that would abuse a child like that would do the same thing to the elderly or anyone that couldn't defend themselves and couldn't really tell what happened to them. It is sad and I hope they all get what they deserve.
THANKS everybody for the comments!
Wow, it gave me chills watching it. The little guy- it was disturbing and horrific.
ReplyDeleteThis is why really serious screening of care providers, including calling former employees and going with your gut if something seems "off" are critical. I have been graced twice with truly wonderful nannies. When my guy was very young I was home with the nanny for several months before returning to work, so I knew how she interacted with him. My neighbors also commented to me how terrific she was. No, my guy is old enough to tell me if something goes wrong. He adores his new sitter, just as he loved the first one (he will actually be in nanny #1's upcoming wedding!). There are remarkable caregivers out there. The one in this video needs jail-time obviously -- and then needs to be in a registry as is done with sex offenders.
ReplyDeleteThat's horrible. How could a nanny do such thing to a baby? Something is fucking wrong these days.
ReplyDeletethat is terrifying. thank goodness I get to stay home with my babies.
ReplyDeleteI hope many will come out in the open to confirm this sick nanny's inhuman treatment of her wards. She deserves the harshest punishment accorded by law. The baby/babies must be given rehab for their horrible experience, to help them recover for the whole of their lives.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree! What type of person would do something like that? I am sure there are quite a few people that do stuff that they don't want anybody to see. But, you never know when you are gonna be on camera!
ReplyDeleteit happens a lot in malaysia too. There had been several cases where babysitters were caught for causing the death of the children under their care..mostly by abuse.
ReplyDeleteI am glad they had a video cam and that it got nipped in the bud early. This woman is quite deranged.
ReplyDeleteWow..... I'm actually quite sick to my stomach. I couldn't even finish the video. As a mother of 3, I could not imagine! I'm speechless....
ReplyDeleteI agree whole-heartedly! This woman has got to be absolutely nuts or evil to do something like that and just imagine how many times she has done something like this in the past...
ReplyDeletemy stomach is upside down :(
ReplyDeleteit is possible to get through a life without leaving your children with strangers if you have a good network of friends and family you trust...sadly many parents don't even seem to care who they leave their children with...I used to babysit myself and I once had a couple come to "meet" me I thought as a prospective babysitter for their kids and instead they dropped her (a baby-toddler age) off with me for the day! They didn't know me from a hole in the ground! Fortunately I'm a responsible individual and I ended up babysitting the little girl and her big brother for a few months before I moved away from that area...I cringe to think what other people may have been involved in their lives as well tho! :(
Just as I am looking for a Nanny. At least I am home with them also. Speachless...
